deborah lippmann Harlem Nocturne

Oh my gosh I’m in nail polish love. This is another polish I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about. Honestly, in the bottle, it looks like China Glaze Midnight Mission which I adore (it’s seriously a gorgeous polish) but I was hoping for something new. Wow, was I wrong! Harlem Nocturne is nothing like China Glaze Midnight Mission though equally gorgeous.

deborah lippmann describes Harlem Nocturne as an intensified indigo ink. On the nail the purple in this polish really comes alive. And like all the other polishes in this collection, Harlem Nocturne applies like a dream. I used just 2 coats in my swatches. When I first saw the deborah lippmann New York Marquee collection I wasn’t all that excited about it. Metallics have been done by so many polish companies. But I have to say, deborah lippmann did metallics better than anyone. I sound like a broken record but trust me, if you’ve had trouble with metallics from other brands, try a polish from the New York Marquee collection. You will be pleasantly surprised.
