Barielle Moda Bleu

It’s probably obvious by now that I can’t help but try every dark blue nail polish I can get my hands on. During the fall dark blue / navy is my go to nail color. It’s season appropriate plus it works for Auburn games (you better believe I’m not going to show up at an Auburn watch party without color appropriate nails!).

Moda Bleu is part of Barielle’s fall 2014 Me Couture collection and is a dark, navy blue creme. There’s nothing particularly unique about the color of this polish. What is unique is the formula.

Most (if not all) of the navy blue polishes in my collection have that ink like formula; which is great because those kinds of formulas are very pigmented. What’s not great is they can be a bit hard to work with plus they stain. What’s great about Moda Bleu is that is applies like a normal creme to an opaque finish in 2 coats. Major thumbs up from me because that means faster manicures.

Because of the ease of this polish I’ve been using it constantly. Particularly under glitter like in my last Auburn manicure and as a base for OPI Comet In The Sky.

Moda Bleu is available on Barielle’s website and retails for $8. And as with all Barielle polishes, Moda Bleu is 5 free and not tested on animals.

There are swatches under the jump.
