Style Traction

My typical schedule usually involves a very early morning workout plan, so I only use certain shoes for selected occasions—if I am travelling, then I have lightweight trainers that I pack with me, etc.

I recently tested out the new Nike Air Max from JD Sports, a UK based retailer for branded sport goods and performance apparel. I really liked these trainers in the first wear, but there are pros and cons. Although, I am a Nike fan, my usual brand for trainers are Adidas, however I wanted to try out this Air Max style because I have heard a lot about them.
I do have an older pair of Nike trainers that are just really for easy wear or what I call for “fashion sake,” as they look good but aren't specifically for major running support. The Air Max 2014 is definitely for active wearing, and they feel very comfortable with an easy gliding sense about them. I chose neon (white/black/green) colour because it’s far different from any of my other trainers.

Pro benefits: as far as performance, so far two and a half weeks in they are great. The true test was running and biking, which in the past meant that this could make it tough on my shoes. Even wearing these for an extended amount of time of 8 hours felt nice, so the shoe held up its claim for providing maximum and flexible cushioning support.
The con is that unfortunately if you were looking for a budget-friendly shoe, then perhaps the Nike Flex2014 would be better, because this particular style is a bit pricey. But, don’t worry; there are other versionsof this shoe that may suit your needs.
For my preference, I wish the back part of the soles were slightly smaller, because the shoe makes your foot look much larger than it is in my opinion. But, listen, given the fact that it’s designed to distribute your weight more evenly, and has flex grooves for forefoot suppleness, I reckon it makes complete sense.
The Air Max with the visible heel has been around since 1987, and its silhouette is a classic late-seventies style that has been engineered and much improved every year. I would recommend the Air Max soles in general, especially for a sport enthused or athletic person.
What is your favourite brand for trainers? Have you tried the Nike Air Max?
