Welcome to part 2 of Phuket: A Boy Named Sue. Shini and I stayed at the Indigo Pearl resort in Nai Yang Beach, an enclosed tranquil resort with picturesque ocean, and the labyrinth of rainforest which compliments the resort’s dark timber and industrial design, a palette of ochre, rouge and vibrant cyan, it’s a perfect unique setting for our lookbook shoot with A Boy Named Sue. We spent the day labouring ourselves in between outfit changes, battling against the firey-heat and keeping cool, and impatiently looking forward to our evening of indulgence at Coqoon Spa – I booked in for a 60 minute traditional full body Thai massage, the massage suite is located inside a giant basket-like cocoon, The Nest, suspended in mid-air within the garden of eden surrounded by calmness and nature. The masseuse gave a great massage, including a deep tissue massage targeting knots and pains, of course I groaned in silent but the pain was good, so good in fact it’s probably the most indulgent massage I’ve ever had.

Phuket is something beyond surreal for a first time visitor like myself, I definitely had an adventure, abeit short. I’m so, so, so looking forward to returning to Hong Kong again in June, perhaps, maybe perhaps, if I could skip my visit to Seoul (sorry bro) in favour of Phuket?
