3 Bloggers Who Inspire Me

There are sooooo many talented bloggers out in blogland these days and I am truly in of awe of all that they accomplish. I'm not talking about those who are well known interior design professionals and have a show on HGTV or who write for a home and garden magazine. They might have another career or have an etsy shop or be a mom and use blogging as a medium to share their work.
Because the internet is filled with so much talent, I hesitate to showcase just three bloggers who inspire me, so I have to qualify that statement by saying that there are three bloggers who inspire the design of our mountain cottage.

Having worked as a kitchen designer for several years, I truly appreciate an awesome kitchen makeover. Jenna Sue and her husband are transforming their home into something really amazing. Every one of her projects is inspiring, but the details in her kitchen leave me speechless. I tell ya, you could spend HOURS perusing her blog.
Jenna Sue's kitchen has so much inspiration for our mountain cottage kitchen. The white subway tile, style of cabinets and the banquette are all elements we will be using, but in a more simple way. I can't wait to get started on our kitchen, even though it's going to be a lot of work!
You can find her kitchen reveal post HERE.

Another blogger who has accomplished an awesome transformation of her home in just a short time is Jennifer from Dear Lillie. This girl has style! I am currently looking for two small chests that we can use for nightstands for the upstairs bedroom. I love how she transformed a plain Ikea Tarva chest into this beauty!
You can find her post on the chest transformation HERE. Another post you have to see is how much of her house she's transformed in just a year. You can find that post HERE.

The third blogger that inspires the design of our mountain cottage is Liz Marie from Liz Marie Blog.
Oh.My.Gosh.
If I could give one person the keys to the mountain cottage and say "have at it", it would be Liz Marie. Her simple, vintage and unpretentious style epitomizes all that I want to create at the mountain cottage.
I love, love LOVE her style!
You can find her home tour HERE.
As for our Mountain Cottage, we are still working on the upstairs half bath, bookshelf and closet in the upstairs bedroom. We just have the medicine cabinet door to attach and the countertop/sink to install in the bathroom. We still have to trim out the open storage shelves, make and install custom closet doors and paint the trim Seems like every project takes forever!
What's the hold up? We have to make an apron under the countertop, that will hold the skirt that will cover the plumbing parts. The countertop has a curved front due to lack of space, so the apron has to be made of laminated wood that will be steamed, clamped and glued.

Here's the countertop a few coats of stain on. I've applied several coats of Wipe-On Poly on all sides of the countertop to seal it.

As for other inspiration for our mountain cottage, here are a few photos that I love:

Would love to make our "view porch" look as comfortable as this one.
