Helga von Trollop

Well I'm upper upper class high society, God's gift to ballroom notoriety

I'm pretty fecking stoked with this late 60's/early 70's frock I picked up at my local St Vincent de Paul the other week. Not only is it the loudest shade of pink, but that ripply bit down the side makes me feel fabularsely swishy! And it fits like a dream. Flange were asked to play at a party on Saturday, so I thought it would be a perfect frock for a spot of rock and rolling.....alas, we did not play, as there were all sorts of complaints before we even got there. C'est la vie. I imbibed a great many cocktails instead.

The earrings were a gift from my scrumptious sistercousinwifey Sarah (37 sleeps!), the beads opshopped, the sunglasses from Catch a Thief. I made the bow, the 60's Rex handbag came via a friend, and the sandals were from Trade Me for a fiver.

That's our vege garden behind me, to the right!!!! I'm amazed we've managed it! I've just planted leeks, dwarf beans and some more spinach. In heels. (Really! They're all muddy and need a clean now. They looked pretty odd with my gardening gloves, I suppose. Ugh, I can't bear dirt under my fingernails!!!)) I've got mint and basil in pots...need more herbs! And the mint needs to go into something bigger.
