Stripey Tap Shorts

Today I decided to print out the ever famous Tap Shorts pattern – the plan was to just whip up a quick test version to try out the fit.

Once i got started with this striped cotton I picked up in Chicago a couple years ago I started to actually really like them so I tried to finish them up as neatly as I could and I might actually wear these for the rest of the summer.

I like the general fit tho I had to take in the sides and will cut a smaller side next time around. I’m excited to try out some of the other variations that come with the pattern.

I’m sure the horizontal striped are not the best thing to plaster around your backside but I’m just going to go with it.

These are officially the only shorts I own and I’m kind of excited about it. I can’t believe there was a point in my life where I said I wasn’t a “shorts person” because I wasn’t comfortable with myself – now I’m saying embrace yourself wherever you are in life!
