Beacons Festival 2013 Was AMAZE!


Wow wow wow. Took awhile to write this because I was ill all last week but can I just say, Beacons Fest was AMAZE. How amaze? Well - The festival was way bigger, much bigger than it was last year. It was ridiculously warm and bright, clear blue skies on the first day. It was like beach weather and how apt, because there was this charming little tent with deckchairs in the middle of the field. They played 80s classics on the stereo and the bartenders were dressed in floral shirts and flower headbands doing cocktails. WIN. There’s was so much more to see and do, like the film tents. We particularly enjoyed the Into The Woods and Dawson’s Art Hashouse tents. The couches were such a welcoming touch, and they’ve kitted out the tents with great sound, projection and carpeted the ground even. We mostly hung out there in between bands. This year we noticed there were loads of seating spaces around the festival grounds, (the straw bales were such a good idea!), plus the beautiful installations all around the festival grounds was a great place to chill out. More toilets and cleaner too! Food selection was much better (…)
