It’s back to blogging y’all! With the unintentional down time due to technical glitches, I am fired up and read to b-l-o-g.

Today, we have numero 11 in the Friday Feature series. I love highlighting the women of this incredible community that inspire me daily. From RDs and health coaches, to blogging gurus and optimistic, go-getting gals like London, a passion for wellness shines through these ladies’ lives in infinite and inspirational ways.

London, Like The City is one of the cutest blogs I have stumbled upon this year. Not only are the colors of her blog bright, but London’s life is colorful as can be. Excuse the cliche, but in all honesty, this twenty-something southern California girl has a contagious zest for life!

Some weekends, I live vicariously through her adventures at the beach, and one day I am determined to join her for Happy Hour Made Healthy. (Seeing as though we share the same favorite cocktails!).

Because of this ray of sunshine, I want to DIY my house, make maca smoothies, and drink local vegetable juice while riding my bike through town.

I hope you enjoy today’s Q & A swap; buzz on over to London’s cheerful corner of the web to get my number one piece of advice for health living, and more!

Q & A with London Glendenning | London, Like the City

1. What’s the story behind your blog? How did you get into the healthy living blog world?

I started my blog London, Like the City about two years ago as a creative place to document and share my various interests, inspiration, and journey to finding balance and purpose as a twenty-something! It’s become a healthy lifestyle blog that celebrates everything from food and adventures to holistic health and healthy living in San Diego.

I had a few food and travel focused blogs for years before this one, but I always felt limited and none of them really stuck. I wanted to start fresh with a blog where I could cover all aspects of a healthy, balanced life!

2. What does your ideal Saturday look like?

A morning beach run or Pilates class followed by a long breakfast with friends, preferably including omelettes, pitaya bowls and lattes! A few good hours of productivity (such as errands/projects/blogging) before heading to the beach with iced tea and a book. Sometimes a bike ride to the farmer’s market. After a refreshing shower and afternoon pick-me-up smoothie, either head out to meet up with friends for the evening or wind down and enjoy a relaxing night at home with Netflix/tea/jewelry making/internet creeping (usually a combo :P).

3. What’s your philosophy on healthy living? What are your “can’t live withouts”?

Listen to your body! Keep your mind open and positive. Baby steps are better than no steps. Work towards a healthier lifestyle because you love your body, not hate it.

I love starting the day off with jasmine green tea and a green juice or smoothie, and hydrating after tough workouts with Zico chocolate coconut water. In terms of indulgences, I need my chocolate, pizza and good old carbs every so often!

4. Aside from living a healthy life, what are you most passionate about?

I love creating things, trying new things, and inspiring others. Helping other people feel happy and inspired makes my heart happy and fulfilled! I also minored in Human Rights in college and am really into food justice, human rights, and animal welfare.

5. What are 5-10 staples you always have in your kitchen?

I always have fresh produce, eggs, and almond milk in the fridge. In the pantry: some coconut oil, ghee, almond butter, apple cider vinegar, honey, and dates. (Nut butter stuffed dates are the beesssst). For smoothies, I always have Vega One powder, spirulina, maca, and turmeric on hand.

Bonus question: What’s your favorite cocktail?

Mules and mojitos!
