I thought the cold weather was gone for good, but Mother Nature had different plans for Atlanta. Tuesday the cold blew in on a high wind advisory, and left us with freeze warning. Ummm what the heck? It’s mid-April and I live in the south! Lol. So, I woke up yesterday morning at 7am to take pictures, and O. M. G. it was soooooo cold outside. I mean, just the other day I was wearing an itty bitty dress and sandals…but yesterday’s weather definitely called for a coat. Mentally, I’ve kinda already transitioned to full on spring, so I was determined to put together a cold weather outfit that still screamed springtime…and my pink coat was just what the doctor ordered.
Paired with off-white jeans, a floral print blouse, and mint pumps…this look is spring ready, but more importantly warm. (although my fingers were icicles…shoulda wore gloves!)
Now, about these white jeans. (Here I go again.) I just don’t know what it is, but I always LOVE white jeans in theory, but when I see myself in them, I just don’t know. I feel like my legs just look so…ummm…big? Like disproportionately big? I’m sure it’s just in my mind because I’m a woman…and you know how we are…we just can’t help nitpicking ourselves. (Why do we do that?) I went through this last time I wore white jeans (the fact that I can count the number of times I’ve worn them says something, because y’all know I wear out the things I love.) So, why do I keep wearing them? I think because 1) I know I’m just trippin and 2) I really love white jeans when I see them on other people. And I mean, seriously…this color combination is really lovely, right? Blue jeans would have been cute, but the white jeans really make the look what it is. I guess you could say I’m good at getting over my body image issues for the sake of fashion. Lol! I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing???
