2 Ways to Wear Striped Shorts, Look #2 (The Fashionista Next Door)

Alright, y’all! So yesterday, I showed you how to style my JustFab striped shorts for an summery, kind of preppy look that would be perfect for a lunch date with your special someone, or any other spring or summer day out and about. This second look is a little more edgy, and I think it really takes these shorts right into the evening. Paired with my sheer bomber jacket and crop top, the shorts are ready for a night on the town. I have to tell you guys that these are not the shoes I was planning on wearing with this look…I had panned on wearing these shoes, but I forgot them, and I just had to go with what I had in my car. Sigh. The wedges give the outfit a totally different look than what I was going for…it’s ummmmm, less edgy that I wanted….but whatevs…they work, I guess. Just focus on the ankle and up…no better, yet close your eyes and imagine this outfit with the other shoes. So cute, right?

So, I know this post is supposed to be about the shorts, but we MUST talk a bout this sheer bomber jacket. Once again, Target has knocked the ball out of the park with this little stunner…and it was only $29.99. It looks soooooo more much expensive than that, right? Everything about it is perfect…the color, the fit, black trim. When I bought it, I was actually shopping specifically for the Peter Pilotto collection, and you guys…I actually put one of my Peter Pilloto picks back so I could get this jacket. (I didn’t want to go over my budget.) Can you believe that? I mean, it was just that cute…I had to have it! And, it was pretty much made for these shorts, wouldn’t you agree? I really am totally smitten with this look.
