Written and directed by Justin Simen, "Dear White People" is a satirical movie that follows four black students at an Ivy League College as protests break out over a popular African American themed party held by white students. The film puts "post-racial" American society under the microscope, questioning whether such a thing even exists.
The film became a break out hit at the Sundance Film festival with
one critic calling it a piece that "goes beyond character type and clique to explore the differences that divide and bring together people."
