What to Expect From Season 1 Episode 3 of How to Get Away With Murder

Annalise and her minions are back for another episode. Let's see what they're going to be up to, this week.

This show is hard to keep up with, so I'm going to try to give you a recap of the main story that's driving the characters forward. Annalise Keating, our protagonist, is a brilliant lawyer & professor known for being a hard ass with her students. She suspects that her husband has killed a student who had gone missing. Her husband is later found dead. Her students may or may not be responsible for hiding the body and other evidence for her.

Got that? Ok, so let's figure out what we can expect from this week's episode:

Lots of flash-backs and flash-forwards: Seriously, the writers on this show don't like to tell a story in a linear way. It's like they're allergic to the "beginning-middle-end" plot formula. It probably gives them hives. While it's great to use interesting ways to tell a story to many jumps back and forward in the timeline can become very confusing. I'm hoping that they turn that down a notch this episode.

Annalise baring her ferocious legal chops: If the past two episodes have taught us anything, it's that Annalise knows how to fight a case and win. It looks like she's going to be representing the boyfriend of the girl who went missing. Expect the charges to be dropped before they roll the credits.

Annalise's tired wig: Annalise Keating is a stunningly complex character so it pains me to have to take about something as insignificant as her hair. But, I'm sorry that wig looks downtrodden perched atop her head like that. It just doesn't suit her and I just don't like it What is going on with the hair department at Shondaland. Cyrus on Scandal is wearing an ill-begotten toupee and Annalise's wig is crying out for release.

Umm, why can't Viola Davis just wear her natural hair. Put her in a twist-out and roll the cameras! Shonda, fix it!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing more of what happened to the girl and figuring out if the husband was involved. This show is super intense. Expect to find me in front of the TV with my butt hanging off the edge of my seat.
