Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Collection: Corals to Crush Over!

My first experience with the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Collection was amazing so when I got my last Nordstrom Note ($20 off), I used it toward more Charlotte Tilbury products. I purchased another Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blush, this time in the shade Ecstasy ($40). The texture is incredibly soft and finely milled, making it easy to work with and it doesn’t kick any powder. Ecstasy has an outer ring of an orangey coral with an inner core of pink coral with gold shimmer. Swirled together, they combine to make the perfect warm coral flush with a satiny finish. This has just the right amount of glimmer to make your cheeks glow without looking like your pores are pot holes on a country road. The crushed pearls in the formula allow for Light Flex Technology to captures light and re-emit it for a luminous complexion while color-rich pigments smooth and buff your skin for excellent blendability and perfect color uniformity. The consistency of this blush is what makes it special: it blends beautifully and melts into your skin creating a lovely luminosity. As if that’s not enough, Ecstasy wore for a good 8 hours on my skin!

Charlotte recommends applying this blush in two steps:

SWISH the brush around the outer shade and tap off the excess. Run the brush flat, up the cheek bone starting from the apple of the cheek, to structure the face.

POP take the pointy end of the brush, dip it in the centre colour and tap off the excess. Apply to the apples of the cheeks to make them pop and glow. Blend seamlessly together. This is perfect for the over 40 woman looking to add a bit of radiance to her skin without looking like a beacon of glitter.

I also added another K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Coachella Coral ($32) a perfect everyday pinky rose. This lipstick is über creamy, color rich and so, so comfortable to wear. I would say it’s a satin finish–not super glossy but not matte either–in other words perfect! It does not cling to dry lips or bleed into fine lines. I can wear it without lip liner just fine.

Coachella Coral ($32) is a bright, medium coral pink with a satin finish and one-swipe coverage. It’s smooth and creamy with no skipping. Don’t except this to be shiny, it has a true satin finish–not matte but not glossy. I love, love, love it–it brightens up the face beautifully. Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blush in Ecstasy and K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Coachella Coral. Eyes are from the Tarte Rainforest Eye and Cheek Palette, Tarte eyeliner in Deep Teal and L’Oreal Butterfly Mascara.

Bottom Line: Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics is a high-quality, high performance luxury makeup line I adore. It is pricey, on par with Chanel and Dior but personally, I like CT better. The texture of the products, the ease of application and the final result are worth the splurge. This is a line that is ideal for over 40 women who want to a polished and sophisticated look.
