Tuscany is one of those places that feels like you’ve stepped into another world, or at least another era in this world. Not only is it obviously beautiful but there is a certain rustic traditionalism mixed with unwavered elegance and quality that’s hard to come by. We’re finishing our third day in the tiniest village in the Province of Siena. We’re talking windy dirt roads for miles – the kind you’re not really sure are meant for driving cars on, and then up to the very tip top of a mountain. Other than our hotel Monteverdi (a MUST visit if you come to Tuscany), there’s nothing but more picturesque scenery than your eyes can take and wineries in every direction. It’s much chillier here than the other places on our trip, giving it a Fall-y feeling I was oh so excited for. While I normally opt for black and white, here I’m inspired by the warm tones of the scenery, especially during sunset. I’d love to throw on Borsalino wool fedora (something I’m seriously considering for a end-of-trip treat before we catch our flight out of Rome), a drapey Missoni cape, and of course the look needs some Ferragamo boots for touring the nearby towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino. Truly a dream of a place.
