“Cute as a Button” Themed Baby Shower!

There is nothing cuter than a new baby, so honor the mommy-to-be with a “Cute as a Button” themed baby shower. With perfectly themed party goods, it’s “sew” easy to pull this party together. Follow these 4 easy steps! And check below to get the free printable too!

1: Select your décor!

Hang a personalized backdrop behind a dessert or favor table to create a beautiful display. These backdrops are great for photo booths too! Add a personalized table runner & a sweet kraft banner to hang in front. These details bring the theme together and the guest of honor can take them home to hang in baby’s nursery! Add a little texture with a tassel garland in complementary colors and you have the perfect setting for your party.

2. Add themed touches to sweet treats & serve drinks in personalized glassware.

Throwing a shower can be a lot of work and there’s no need to start from scratch with the entire menu! Adding themed touches to store bought items for semi-homemade treats is a quick and easy way to create baby-shower worthy desserts. Pick up cupcakes from your local bakery or grocery store and add fondant buttons to the tops for a special touch. Serve lemonade in personalized glasses that are cute as a button! In keeping with the button theme, set out glass button coasters for guests to rest their drinks on.

3. Put favors on display and use them for decor!

These button shaped sewing kits are great for décor and make the perfect favors for your guests to take home. Place them in a clear glass apothecary jar on top of felt rolls for a fun way to display them…sew cute!

4. Create a cute party table setting with fresh flowers & DIY place cards.

By dressing up your table, the whole party will come together! A favorite DIY tip for entertaining at home is to shop at local supermarkets for seasonal blooms in your color palette. One main centerpiece and a few smaller mercury glass vases should do the trick! Finally, to carry out your “Cute As A Button” theme, pick up some spools of thread at your local fabric store and use them as place card holders with this free printable for the place card names.

DIY Tip: Cut a paper party straw a little bit taller than your spool of thread. Place the straw in the middle of the spool. Secure your name cards to the straw with a glue dot or tape.
