Stop and Smell The Roses in Copenhagen

I find silly little cliches like, “Stop and smell the roses” to be a bit abused, and yet for the last few days I cannot get the expression out of my head. The roses in Copenhagen are in full bloom right now and it isn’t even necessary to stop and breathe them in because you can smell them just by walking by. Of course, I cannot help but stop and savor them anyways because their fragrance is utterly intoxicating to me. It is like a glimpse of heaven and rather than keeping it all to myself, I decided to grab my camera this last grey and misty Tuesday and try to capture just a little of this beauty.

My only reluctance with the task is that the fragrance cannot be bottled up and shared as well, but instead let’s close our eyes for just a moment, inhale deeply, and imagine the most deliciously sweet smell of these blooming roses…

I cannot get enough of flowers right now and maybe you cannot either. Here are a few of my floral favorites:
