What strikes me over and over is the Danish focus on high quality and moderation. Living with less is not a punishment, but a reward. Copenhagen was just voted the number one livable city in the world yet again by Monocle magazine, and besides great infrastructure, good work/life balance, and good schools, I think having a focus on good design is another underlying reason why living in Copenhagen is so great.
I do think trying to live with less becomes very difficult when there are SO many great modern Danish products out there. Here are just a few that caught my eye this week:
1. A Light Amethyst Vase by The Architects Choice
2. The Breathtaking and Dreamy Artwork by Bent Holstein
3. A Marble Board from Louise Roe (Perfect for a collection of perfumes!)
4. The Mouth Blown Glass Parison Pendant with it’s gradient black to clear glass from Resident
5. The Frame Sideboard in Black Stained Ash from By Lassen
