Do You Use An Iron …?
Hello and Happy Monday! We have another great weekend in the USA, and are really starting to feel a lot more settled. I have been updating little bits of our temporary home via Instagram, but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing more here, too. I created a quick and simple desk area for myself, a tidy and clean bedside table, and even bought a cute ironing board cover to help our furnished place feel more like us. I will have more to share about our home in the coming days, but I thought the reaction to my photo of the ironing board was SO interesting.
Apparently many of you don’t use an iron and some don’t even own one. I had never really thought of ironing as a cultural difference, but I’m amazed by how many of my American friends and family NEVER iron. We have to iron our clothes in Denmark because our dryer doesn’t fluff them enough to just dry and go. Plus, the electric bill is so high that I prefer to hang the majority of our clothes and spend the extra money on new tube of lipstick or a pair of heels!
Some of you are probably gasping… some maybe wondering what the big deal is…
I’m curious! Do you use an iron? Do you dry all of your clothes? Is there a cultural gap somewhere in our iron use?
