SPRING HAS ARRIVED IN VERMONT!

It’s the last few weeks of the semester at UVM and Spring is in the air, so life has been busy and enjoyable! I’ve been able to leave the house in shorts or sans jacket (feels so good!). Short hikes are doable again. Dinners have ranged from roasted vegetables at home to sushi at San Sai to Burlington Bay breakfast sandwiches.

And our latest project at work is painting a mural on our building. We have an artist up from New York for the week, but I’ve been helping her paint all weekend and most nights after work. It’s a pleasure to see something take shape, but wow, I’m tired at night!

We also have monks on campus creating a sand mandala! I’ve been trying to stop by every few days to watch them work. I posted a video on Instagram of what it sounds like when they are working. It’s this oddly soothing scraping sound!

Overall, I’m looking forward to more sunshine, bike rides, and creemees by the lake soon.

P.S. I saw The Grand Budapest Hotel on Sunday night. It’s gorgeous and dreamlike and I can’t recommend it enough.
