Having a Vision

It’s so incredibly overwhelming to keep track of all of the photos I take, managing social networks and trying to keep it all organized on my hard drive. I’m so that girl who has the pinwheel of death because I hold on to everything that comes my way whether it’s a memory or inspiration. Not that I’m complaining because I actually love to stimulate my creative side with photos and other imagery. I’m a really visual person and sites like Pinterest make it easier to be able to visualize goals and ideas but sometimes it’s nice to have something tangible, too! I just love the traditional process of actually working with something and seeing it in person so it really sticks in my head.

I had the opportunity to try the Canon PIXMA MG7120 Wireless Inkjet All-in-One printer and as soon as I received it, I knew it would be a great opportunity to share my current vision board in a way that balances both digital and tangible. Because, yes, it can be easy to print my digital work into something I can see in front of me everyday.

Clearly health and wellness have been playing a larger role in my life so my current vision board is less about career goals and more about strong personal goals. I want to be inspired by strong women, new workouts, healthy meal options that I can cook my boyfriend (apparently I cook now), and empowered style. I also clearly do not spend enough time in one place to really be organized so being able to print something I see wirelessly from my phone or laptop is completely ideal for me.

Canon has a PIXMA Cloud app that goes along with the printer so you can literally print from anywhere using major social photosharing networks like Facebook, dropbox, and Picasa. I can print directly from my camera roll so when I get back to the printer I already have everything waiting to create my inspiration board. Pretty awesome!

What’s on your vision board? Would love to know! And big thanks to Canon PIXMA for sponsoring this post and helping me bring my vision board to life!

xo,
SG
