Fall Energy

Happy Fall! I’m always excited about fall when I first feel those crisp days and need to have a sweater nearby. When the weather gets cooler I admit that I like to transition into something that falls into the leather legging, legging, elastic waistband area, where you can stay warm but also move around. Running to get a coffee or a juice in the morning and blogging from a cafe between meetings doesn’t require a ball gown after all. I’m specifically wearing all Under Armour because I’ve been a part of their I Will What I Want Campaign. I have more images to show you throughout the week. This series of photos goes through a day in the life where it’s about the really faced pace lives we all live (as women) and how we try to get it all done. I like the spin on wearing only a sport brand because it feels REAL. I wrote a piece for New York Mag about it here. I’ll put up a few other of the photos that didn’t make the cut (no pun intended). I had such a blast putting this all together because I really want to inspire and connect with you all on a level that promotes strength. I think that the message of inspiring each other has gotten lost in this industry that has become like-and-follower-hungry. This campaign feels really personal to me because I’ve seen this industry start and develop and no matter what I’ve accomplished and achieved, there are still people that don’t believe. There will always be people who undermine your abilities but you have to block out the noise and listen to your own gut.

I’m leaving today for Spain to join Team SCA in the Volvo Ocean Race! There have been very few women that have participated in this sailing race around the world and this year there is a whole boat of women competing. I can’t wait to meet them and share their stories! I’m not actually sailing with them but I’ll be there to go through some of their training and learn before they set off on their adventure. More soon!
