Holiday Dressing

Hello! Sorry for the short absence. I’m down to the wire on my new site design and trying to get it up before Christmas and it requires manually resizing old post images and it’s taking forever. In other news, on to the holidays! I really do love dressing up for the holidays. I also enjoying sharing ideas with you guys about what inspires me wear during the season. There are so many events and social gatherings that let you go over the top and bring out your biggest statement pieces. For me that’s usually something furry (this is faux) or textured in pretty jewel tones. When all else fails, black and white is a great starting point and the accessories can be the key to bring in festive holiday colors. A deep, plumy red works better on me than a bright, cherry red so I tend to reach for those first. Sunglass Hut just put out a great set of colored Ray-Ban sunnies. These have a pretty pink/red tint to them and at first I thought they would be great with winter pastels and then when I put it with the deeper, richer colors it completely picked up a more sultry, vampy vibe. This is a more casual holiday look that really can go from meetings during a cold sunny day to out at night with the switch of lipstick and a smoky eye!
