Heading to the big smoke

We're heading to Melbourne today sans baby! My parents kindly offered to come up to Alice Springs and look after Lulu while Nick and I head to Melbourne for one of his best friend's wedding. I was a little hesitant to say yes, as this as good friends of ours with kids Lulu's age will be there and I'd like to foster the relationship between the kids, but time to ourselves is just to precious to give up.

I am so excited to be in the big smoke. I know it hasn't been that long since I went to Byron Bay, but this will be my last trip outside of the NT until Christmas, so I am going to savour every minute of it. I'm looking forward to checking out a few galleries on Monday and having dinner somewhere fancy and coffee, lots of wonderful coffee places. Last time we were in Melbourne we discovered this cool pop-up coffee house on Collins Street, complete with fake grass for Lulu to run all over. They had the most delicious breakfast & a small part of me delighted in being on holidays when everyone else had to get to work. It's the small things, hey?!
