there’s beach house, coastal cottage or brace yourself

Well, yep, I like to keep you all waiting in suspense, haha….brace yourself is the buzz word around here at the moment…

…so here we go…brace yourself :)

It’s funny, the other day I was doing something I didn’t want to be doing…you know boring, real-girl work stuff, feed your family stuff, 9 to 5 nose to the grindstone stuff…you know my life isn’t totally about white paint and flowers you know ;) …anyhooo I got a text from Mr BC along the lines of what ya doing and I replied I’m doing blah and I said you know what I would rather be ripping up carpets, pulling up kithens, painting fences and planning gardens…he replied back ‘same’…because both of us have fun doing this (remind me of that when I am whining that I spent the day in overalls, cannot look at another paint brush and tell my hubby that it’s all his fault and cry what have we done)…but yeah we are both ready for another project…our next project will be our 5th doer-upper – we’ve learnt a lot along the way I suppose, you don’t really think you have learnt anything but you do…little things like getting things in the garden in the first few weeks, what to spend money on, what to do yourself and what to get a team of tradies in for…

So yep I guess we are a fairly good team, Mr BC likes to get all serious, do budgets and databases, is good at deadlines and very good at grafting, he is also a master of a spreadsheet…I on the other hand am good at getting stuck into it (I quite like the nitty gritty of it all) and I love to turn something cr*ppy into something nice…though I do need to be fed lots and watered with English or Australian breakfast tea….and then of course, there’s the foofing bit…

…so some pics from my phone from the weekend…we are going back up to again this week for a second look and to hopefully put dollars on the table.

See you soon, I have a Beach Cottage Favourite Things to show you, I was dragged to the mall kicking and screaming by my friend Michelle today, she enlightened me on Missoni and Missoni Tarjay no less, I did not have the slightest clue who Missoni was or is – am I the only person in Australia who has no idea who Missoni is and wonders why lots of women were getting there knickers in a twist about geometric lines and patterns???? I did lighten myself of a few dollars and came home with a Missoni item but the other thing I bought, a bit like the bag the other week, is much more beachy and much more me and I am thinking you will likey very muchy.

Adios, I am off to take a picture of a Penicillin Soup I made for my daughter recently and was not only super nice but did the trick so I thought I would share it.
