Not since the Grinch unfurled his furry green digits to tickle my heart and soul have I had the urge to pack up and move lock stock and barrel to live in a surreal world of pastel aesthetic confections at every turn, alas Mr Kipling aren't answering their helpline today.

We all know that I have no graphic skills but in the words of Queen, "Don't stop me now, because I'm having a good time"

After 50 years, Mr Kipling have dumped their tagline, "Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good cakes', this makes me feel a bit sad, it's like euthanising your grandpa. Next stop: Dignitas for all of us. Meanwhile, Net a Porter are running a competition worth squillions for one genius to come up with a one sentence tagline for their new Porter magazine. Come on, group effort, we'll split the spree, one shoe each for everyone, best chum up with someone your size.

In other bloggy nonsense, my fellow clanswoman, Highland Fashionista has nominated me for a Sunshine Award. It's years since I've done this sort of thing so I thought it was time to bore the pants off you again.

11 Random Facts about Me:

1. I go into religious rhapsodies about breakfast and view toast/porridge as others do the Host.

2. I love America ( as in good ol' US of A) the way Americans love Paris.

3. I was vegetarian then vegan for almost 30 years, now if I had to classify my diet, I would say that I subsist almost solely on veggies, gluten and dairy. I really need to keep my own Jersey cow - a pet with benefits.

4. I have eaten this sandwich for 15 days in a row, it's so good.

5. I fear spas and beauty salons, I find them too sepulchral.

6. I spend an awful lot of time on my own, which I love but every so often, I crave the company of others but then this happens.

All of that paper for a ten minute libation and nibble.

7. Whenever a bee comes into the house, I waltz off for a glass and piece of paper, talk to them, then Red Cross them off to reduce stress in the nearest flower. I squish wasps with a newspaper.
I am a Gemini.

8. I dress as a hooded hawk for bed every night, before you get any ideas:
That hair! Someone pass the pomade.
Holistic Silk eye mask

I haven't introduced you to my twin, Bertie, this seems an apposite moment.
I cannot deny that shared DNA any longer.

9. I believe that to be really fit, a catholic embrace is required, I spin, lift weights and stretch, 5 or 6 mornings a week at 7.00am. I do not in any way, "knock my pan out". It makes absolutely no difference to my weight, it remains the same whether or not or I exercise.

A geneticist once explained this to me/made my lip curl, by telling me that I had 'excellent genes for exercise', meaning "you will need to work out for an average of three hours a day or more before it impacts on your weight."
Still, that's what made my ancestors travail across Magna Europa on a single turnip, thanks folks.

10. I miss my Dad, his name was William, he was clever and funny and very, very silly, mum always rolled her eyes at him. I share his temper, we blow up, slam doors off the hinges and are perfectly fine 30 minutes later. Tea anyone? ( Mum will bear a grudge and embrace silence for a fortnight, it drove us both mad) He died 16 years ago, yes it gets easier but the memories and faces fade and that is the greatest sadness of all.

11. I can be a bit of a neat freak, my husband once caught me hoovering out doors.

I also have the privilege of nominating eleven others, so if anyone below is at a loose end and wants to dish any dirt, we are all waiting.
