It's almost impossible not to fly the flag for these two beauties just now in Blighty; unless you've been in jail, you will know that they are everywhere. Their assault on the media has been the stuff of Goebbel's wildest dreams.
But no, no, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, I've been following them for a long time and have been utterly bewitched by their healthy lifestyle and recipes. I was delighted to find their book amongst my 50th birthday gifts.
Sisters Melissa and Jasmine are London's top IT girls, if IT refers to handmaidens who deliver delicious home made organic food, free of grain, gluten, high starch and refined sugar.
Buckwheat noodles - I've gone through bags of these every week for the last 30 years. Kasha is another staple of mine.
Their 12 Golden Rules are woven into the book- I won't list them, the art of the tease and all that. My one caveat would be against starting off the day with hot water and lemon - after 30 years of doing this, ( a young dentist warned me when I was in Israel for a few months in my 20's - I didn't listen ) I now ooh and ahh every time I drink a hot, very cold or sparkling drink, my dentist has now banned me from this "healthy living tip" as the citric acid has stripped my enamel. Luckily champagne comes with its own built in anaesthetic.
Talking of which, did anyone else read about the highest paid career in the US? I would have guessed surgeon but no, it's anaesthetists, the alpha and omega of surgery.
