Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic

A couple weeks ago I started using a new skin toner that I really love.

Pixi Glow Tonic is an alcohol-free toner that’s packed with plant extracts that work to:

  • Exfoliate to brighten and smooth skin texture
  • Treat, soothe and hydrate (through botanical extracts)
  • Tighten and balance skin

Check out the ingredients:

Here’s what the key ingredients do for your skin:

  • Ginseng – an antioxidant that improves circulation and energizes
  • Aloe vera – soothing and hydrating
  • Witch hazel – refining and tightening
  • Horse chestnut – stimulating
  • Fructose and sucrose – brightening
  • Glycolic acid (5%) – exfoliating

I LOVE the scent of this toner. I can smell the ginseng and it’s soothing as I wipe it across my face with a cotton pad. The sensation of using this toner is very refreshing and cleansing. It really picks up the fine dirt and remnants of makeup that my cleanser leaves behind. I would have taken a picture of the cotton pad but…that’s just gross, right?!

In general, I avoid glycolic peels and skincare with glycolic acid, out of fear that it would be an irritant to my rosacea and eczema. But I’ve used this tonic at least once a day for two weeks and can tell you that it has not made my skin conditions any worse. I was having a flare-up prior to using this, but it has not gotten any worse, and in some places my eczema has gotten better. I don’t know if this product can be credited, but keeping my skin clean certainly helps!

My skin feels really refreshed after using this toner, but I definitely need moisturizer from the tightening and refining; I definitely love the effect this has on my skin.

Here’s the instructions I followed on the back of the bottle for use:

Pixi says this Glow Tonic is good for all skin types, from dull, dry, mature, acne prone to skin like mine, sensitive.

The brand has said this is a “beauty blogger favorite” and I can tell you that it’s become a fast favorite of THIS beauty blogger, as well.

You can find Pixi Glow Tonic at PixiBeauty.com. You get 8.5 oz. for $29. After a couple weeks of use,I haven’t even used to the top of the label on the bottle yet!

Have you tried Glow Tonic yet? Does it sound like something you’d love?!
