Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick

Disclaimer: Some press samples. See bottom.

About a year and a half ago, I first tried Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick. My review was polite, but not favorable on the formula overall.

The next time I saw the folks from Ofra, we talked about my experience and they said you know what, try one of our other shades; sometimes the darker colors are more drying. They told me I might like the formula in different shades that might not be prone to drying. I like to keep an open mind, so I did.

While I still haven’t reviewed the shade “Americano,” the one they gave me that day, they were right. I liked the formula on that brownish shade more than I did the bright pink of Palm Beach. It dried matte, but it wasn’t peeling off my lips.

Flash forward to this May. I always make Ofra one of my must-see stops now at The Makeup Show NYC! I was excited to pick up a couple things, including more of the Liquid Lipstick! They shared with me different shades of their Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick they thought would work great – I am not sure which one I bought and which were given as samples so I just put the disclaimer at the top. I was excited to try them all!

Angeles:

Angeles is a light pink nude that I thought might look horrible on me but ended up looking like the perfect nude for my skin tone. This shade lasted well into the early afternoon the day I wore it, and I didn’t feel like chewing it off my lips because it was overly dry. I sometimes felt I wasn’t wearing anything and I’d whip out a mirror to check! Thumbs up in my book!

Santa Monica:

Santa Monica is a vibrant hue that fits right in with my passion for hot pink lippies! This one did feel dry but again, it lasted into the early afternoon like Angeles. It didn’t feel like it was peeling off my lips. Yes, I have lipstick on my teeth. I hope I wasn’t walking around like that all day, lol!

Solano:

Solano is a beautiful copper-pink shade that was another perfect pick for my skin tone. I got good wear out of this as well, into the early afternoon. I love the metallic finish.

The website says these can last up to five hours without eating or drinking; they definitely deliver on that promise for me but I drink coffee in the morning (and have a shake for breakfast) and they still persist, so even better!

Overall, I like these liquid lipsticks, and I would purchase more. These retail on the Ofra site here for $19.90. They’ve even got a couple trendy greens (Maui and Hawaii Tropical) and blue (Bondi Beach), and the ones I’m lemming are Sunset Beach, Laguna Beach, Atlantic City, Purple Rain, Surfers and Daytona Beach.

So what do you think of these liquid lipsticks, do they pique your interest? Do you like long-lasting liquid formulas?
