(Outfit Diary) Winter Somewhere

I'm sitting in front of my fan as I type this, trying to cool down after a day out in the sun - and I feel distinctly silly because I'm preparing a post featuring a wool sweater and leather leggings. Welcome to life in Vancouver. This past weekend, after a beautiful day spent wandering English Bay and Stanley Park under the summer sun, I woke up to discover that the rain clouds that perpetually hang over the city I call home had descended again. Temperatures were so wintery that, knowing I would be spending most of my day outside, I finished my outfit with my midcalf leather boots. And I did not regret it for one second. So just for today, I'm pretending I'm in Australia, where an outfit like this would make perfect sense at this time of year.

Je m'assois devant mon ventilateur en écrivant cet article, afin de me rafraichir après une journée au soleil - chose que je trouve trop débile, étant donné que je prépare des photos qui comprennent un pull et un legging en cuir. Bienvenue à Vancouver. Ce weekend, nous avons passé un jour au bord de la mer, sous le soleil, promenant dans le parc Stanley. Le lendemain, je me suis réveillée sous la grisaille et la pluie. Il faisait tellement frais que, sachant que j'allais passer la bonne partie de ma journée dehors, j'ai mis mes bottes en cuir, aussi. Je n'ai rien à me reprocher - le temps méritait une tenue chaude. Et donc, aujourd'hui je fais semblant d'être en australie; c'est l'hiver quelque part dans le monde et je me suis habillée en conséquence.
