These Honey Crisp and Goat Cheese Ladyfinger Crostini Appetizer are the perfect holiday appetizer served with fresh rosemary on top, the herb of “friendship,” plus I’m sharing table details with my friends in NYC, Q Squared.

Dressing a holiday table can be a treat, even more than cooking a meal, for those who love to entertain. But really knowing and loving the family and friends who will be gathering around our table this year–the importance of giving thanks for these wonderful people and so many blessings–is the icing on the cake for a hostess. Bringing the “family” together—whether blood relatives or honorary guests—and creating an atmosphere and space that is beautiful and memorable, making it a special time for all.

Today I’m showing you a very easy, beautiful, table setting for the holidays. I recently became acquainted with Q Squared, an amazing company based in NYC, and their fabulous dishes, through my friends Heidi and Maria last month in Deer Valley. I truly do love dishes, because you can mix and match, and come up with different styles with different patterns. (Keep reading for the delicious recipe, below.)

Set the table.

Basically, when setting a table, there’s no right or wrong. My only pet peeve is a cluttered table, or one where the centerpiece is so huge, or tall, that the guests have a hard time conversing around it. The point of coming together at a table is to talk, and get to know one another. It’s intimate and powerful. We don’t need a gaudy “something” in the middle of the table interfering
