Melvita Rose Beauty Mist and Plumping Radiance Duo – Pulpe De Rose Review

I do adore Melvita. I do wish they would open up a store pop North for us though. Aside from not being able to go into a store to play with the products in person due to where I live, I do adore the range – I’ve tried lots of different things from the brand and I’ve always found everything natural, gentle, effective. The prices are also not outrageous.

I have been trying two new products (well, newish); the Rose Floral Water Beauty Mist and Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Duo treatment/serum/oil thing.

I am a big fan of floral waters anyway and rose is my favourite – it’s so calming on my skin especially at the moment in it’s hormonal state. Melvita floral waters tend to be in bottles, which is great but not as handy as a spray mist, which is what this is.

This mist (£10) is great – nice natural rose smell, light misting, can be used over make up, is cooling and is slightly hydrating. It’s also a very compact size which I like, as I can carry it around.

Plumping Radiance Duo is very interesting!

This product combines water and oil, and also rose fruit and flower – this product has to be shook before use, and creates a light watery treatment that mixes rose floral water and damask rose oil.

To use, shake the mixture, spray into the hand and apply to completely skin, massaging in.

This is a SPRAY, which is a bit weird because it contains oil. When you shake it, it becomes a white mixture, and it’s runny like water so you need to quickly pat it into the skin before it runs through your fingertips!

I found this product sunk into the skin nicely, I could only just detect a hint of oil so it wasn’t overkill. My skin has been so reactive and I have stopped using facial oils for now because anything with essential oils just makes me break out. This product is a really good compromise if you feel that facial oils don’t suit your skin or you just dislike the feel on your skin, which a lot of people do. This feels like, nothing like a oil, and has a gentle rose scent which isn’t overpowering like some oils can be.

I have been using this at night when I feel like it and it’s a nice little treat - it feels like the lightest seal on the skin on top of moisturiser.

This costs £25 for 50ml which is pretty reasonable. I only use 1 pump each time and it goes far.

Verdict:

Recommended, especially for dry skins and rose fans!
