B. Halloween Offerings! Lipstick in Gothika & Eyeshadow Palette in Dead of Night!

B. Beauty have two rather special Halloween themed limited edition products on offer, and they’re really worth checking out! There’s a Lipstick in Gothika and Eyeshadow Palette in Dead of Night – two purpley themed products in special packaging.

More brands should do this! It’s quite a cute thing to do (obviously Halloween is not a massive deal in the UK like it is in the US), but I was immediately taken in by the look of the packaging and colours.

The lipstick in Gothika is a deep berry-plum-purple with no shimmer. B. Lipsticks have unusual packaging, you have to click the base to get the product out. The lipstick is very very nice – actually a perfect berry shade and perfect for Halloween without looking too dramatic or vampy. You could definitely blot this and wear it day to day as it has a pretty purple hue to it. I also like the texture which is soft but not too much, pigmented with a good amount of moisturisation.

The eyeshadow palette is called Dead of Night and I could see right away that it’s actually quite a wearable one. There’s a sandy light grey, mauve-taupe, and deeper plum with no obvious shimmer. Like all B. palettes there is a creme base shade, which in this case is a cafe beige colour. Unusual, but I quite like it.

The powder colours are not crazy pigmented – it is buildable and works better with the base underneath. Otherwise, the best way to take this eyeshadow I think, is as a wearable day to day palette rather than one for a smokey eye effect. The result is quite soft.

I like these two products quite a lot – I think they fit into the Halloween theme nicely but are definitely transferable into every day make up so your money isn’t wasted on a product that you can only wear once a year!

Think these two products are perfect for people who love purple and dusty mauves on the eyes.
