My History of Skin Care & Shiseido（资生堂） Benefique GIVEAWAY
In my mind, people who have good/clear skin: 1. they have a good natural foundation (mostly come from your parents). 2 they took very good care of their skin when they were very young.
Unfortunately, I had neither of them! Both of my parents had acne when they were young, and so did I. When I was a little girl, I was a heavily acne-affected type, over my whole face/chest/back — it was terrible! My mom and dad worked in a factory; they not only had to work 8 hours/day for 6 days a week, and they took care of my younger sister and me, and also our sick, bed-ridden grandma who was lived with us. So I didn’t have people who could teach me how to deal with my acne, nor money/time to see the doctor and get treatment. But my parents did teach me to clean myself carefully before I went to bed every night. And so far, I have never slept at night with any make up on.
In Chinese: 我的观点，拥有良好肌肤的人群：1.天生底子好（当然父母皮肤好是关键）。2. 年轻及早期皮肤保养得当。
我嘛，挺不幸的，两者都没有。我的父母年轻时都长粉刺，所以我青年时期也是粉刺严重一族，脸啊胸啊甚至背部都长满，非常严重。当时因为父母都是在工厂里工作的一般工人，收入不多，工时长，每天除了照顾我和我妹妹，还有当时卧病在床的姥姥，所以当时几乎都没有人告诉我说要怎么对待脸上的疾病，也没余钱带我去看医生和做治疗什么的。当时只知道，晚上要洗干净脸再上床睡觉。所以直到现在，我都一直养有这个习惯。
I don’t blame my parents at all, I love them and thank them for making me the way I am. Lucky part, in my early 20s, I said “bye-bye” to acne when I got the financial ability to take care of myself. In that time in my city, we didn’t have Zara, we didn’t have Louis Vuitton, but we had Shiseido (a Japanese-based brand and one of the oldest cosmetics companies in the world). That’s because, like most of Asian women, we care more about the overall skin appearance, instead of spot treatments or piling on makeup.
我并没有怪怨我的父母，非常感谢他们对我的培育之恩。很幸运的，在我20岁出头时，就不再怎么长粉刺了，而且也有经济能力照顾好自己，购买些美容品什么的。当时我居住的城市，没有Zara，没有ＬＶ，却有资生堂这个美容品牌。也许，与亚洲的其他女生一样，我们与欧美女生不同之处就是，欧美女生喜欢将钱抹在美容手术，或者是外科治疗，或者是化妆品，而我们亚洲女生则是喜欢以养肤为本，希望肌肤呈现自然美感。
All kinds of beauty spa were (and I believe they still are) very popular in my city; there were a total of 5-6 beauty spas near my apartment, within 2-3 minutes walking distance. I went to one my favorite spas once a week for truly regal skin care. I can’t tell how improved my skin became after years visiting; do no wrinkles count? But what made the spa treatments unforgettable for me was almost every visit made me fell asleep — the smell, the massage, the music, it was really relaxing!
当时我城市里的美容院多如牛毛，我家附近2-3分钟步行距离就有5-6家。当时我坚持每周一次到一个家附近的美容院做美容护理，皮肤有多大的改观倒也说不出来，在美容院里的那种享受却是至今难忘，几乎每次做美容都差不多能睡个一觉，美容院里的香熏，小姐温柔的按摩指法和软软的轻音乐倒是很令人享受。
I don’t go to the spa anymore after I moved to the U.S. (although I am still looking for good one to go, any recommendation?) because 1. I’m not familiar with any good one in my area, and 2. I think the price range is a bit higher than I expect.
来美国后就再没有去过美容院（至今我都在找一间合适的好的美容院，有没有住在洛杉矶的朋友有好的推荐？）原因有两个：1. 因为对周围环境不是很了解。2. 我觉得美国这边的美容院收费比较高。
Since I am now a stay-home wife and mom, I like to do a lot of things myself at home, like dyeing my hair, and giving myself a good skin care treatment.

Recently I have been using the Shiseido Benefique skincare collection. Already available in Japan and Taiwan, the new Benefique line is aimed at women in their late 20s to 40s who may see visible changes in their skin, such as formation of wrinkles, discoloration and changes in contours.
最近这两个星期，我都一直在用 资生堂 Benefique 护肤系列。这个系列已经在日本和台湾有售，以针对近30至40岁女性人群，专门对付早期的小皱纹， 色斑和輪廓變化等皮肤特症。
I have been using these Shiseido Benefique collection for 2 weeks, together with my hot yoga practicing. I can feel my skin getting smoother, firmer, and younger.
我到今天为止已经用了资生堂 Benefique 系列有两个星期，加上我这段时间的高温瑜珈运动，我已经明显感到了脸部肌肤的细滑，紧致，和年轻感。
Here are the step by step about how to use the whole collection:
上面就是资生堂 Benefique 护肤品的全套系列。今天很有幸能与大家分享一下我的运用方法。
Step 1: Hot Cleanser – A warming, deep-cleansing makeup remover that purifies skin for a smooth natural translucence. The thermal cleansing ingredients generate a warming sensation, while cleansing ingredients envelop and lift away makeup residue to reveal smooth, lustrous skin.
步骤1: Hot Cleanser – 有溫熱功能，能清除深層污垢的卸妝配方，同時淨化肌膚，令肌膚觸感柔滑，顯露天然的光澤亮麗。有導熱功能的潔膚材質產生溫熱感，同時包覆化妝品並去除殘餘化妝品，顯露出您光滑潤澤的肌膚。
How to use ： Take three pumps from the dispenser onto your hand and apply to your face, blending thoroughly with your makeup. Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. 用法：挤出两滴在手上抹化直接抹上脸，你会立即感受到温热感，脸上的化妆品立即化开，眼睛并不会有刺伤感。随即以冷水或温水冲洗。
Step 2: Cleansing Foam – A rich, deep-cleansing foam that leaves skin feeling smooth and moist. To soften and prevent the skin from drying out, the cleansing foam contains sericin, a natural ingredient derived from silk with excellent moisture-retaining properties.
步驟 2: Cleansing Foam – 一款質地濃郁，能清除深層污垢的泡沫狀潔面乳，令使用過的肌膚光滑潤澤。為了軟化肌膚，避免肌膚乾燥，這款潔面乳特別加入取自蠶絲，具有優異保濕功能的天然材質絲膠。
How to use：Squeeze a pearl-sized amount onto your palm. Work up a good lather with a small amount of cool or lukewarm water and spread gently and thoroughly over the entire face. Rinse well. 用法：和一般洗面奶一样，只需要用上一颗花生米大小的份量，在脸部抹匀，再洗净。
Step 3: Lotion I, II, III – A brightening beauty essence water that cools skin and boosts circulation, giving skin a bright, healthy glow. There are three types of lotion based on seasonal and skin temperature. Lotion I is for hot weather and for those with higher skin temperature or oil-prone skin; Lotion II is best used during moderate weather or by those with normal skin temperature; and Lotion III is ideal for those with rough, dry skin or for use during cold weather. (I use lotion I after my hot yoga practicing, and I use lotion II for most of the time, and lotion III for those big wind day which would cause the skin dryness)
步驟 3: Lotion I, II, III – 有亮白功能的美顏化妝水，冷卻肌膚，促進血液循環，令肌膚健康透亮。依季節和肌膚溫度的不同共分三款：I. 適合炎熱天氣，或溫度較高、易泛油光膚質。II. 適合溫和天氣或中性肌膚。III. 適合冷天或粗糙缺水肌膚。（我一般在做高温瑜珈后用Ｉ，平时则用II，在大风或干燥的日子里则用III）
Step 4: Emulsion I, II – A brightening emulsion that contains a new lifting effect formula combining powerful botanicals in a polymer that smooths and lifts while increasing firmness and resilience. I use Emulsion I in the morning because it has light texture with dewy feel. I use Emulsion II before bed; I like its rich texture and moistening feel。
步骤4: Emulsion I, II – 透過結合強效植物精華，具備拉提功能的全新美白配方乳液，不但能光滑和拉提肌膚，同時提高肌膚的緊緻度和抵抗力。
Step 5: Cream – A brightening beauty cream that addresses the signs of aging to reveal lustrous, smooth, firm skin. It contains raspberry leaf extract to define facial contours by lifting the skin and correcting sagging. We all know our skin is absorb strongly during our sleep, so putting a lot of good cream during the night is what I love to do now. I like this concentrated night cream that infuses skin with deep moisture and protects skin’s natural collagen for vibrant firmness.
步驟 5: Cream – 含亮白成分的美膚乳霜，解決老化問題，顯露潤澤、光滑、緊緻的肌膚。含有覆盆子莓樹葉精華，透過拉提肌膚，改善肌膚鬆弛來強化臉部輪廓。
