j.crew reviews: embroidered neon-stripe popover, cabled sweatshirt

J.Crew changed up their promo today, with 40% off sale using code FUNSALE. Is it? They are continuing the in-store 50% off, which would have been nice to see online as well.

One item on sale is the Cabled Sweatshirt. I like this one, but have something a bit similar already. In store, I saw one for $50 before discount. It's $70 before discount online. The cabled section has an interesting feel, sort of nubby, like boiled wool a little bit. I think it might possibly hold up better than a true cable? I like it. TTS.

The Embroidered Neon-Stripe Popover caught my eye near the front of the store, a recent rollout item (and still full price). While my eye is leading me to lighter, calmer colors for spring/summer this year, I can never resist some pretty brights. If you like the popover silhouette (I do), you'll like this one as well. I size up to a 6 in the popovers, including this one. Super cute. Sizes seems to be disappearing for this one.

There are still some nice deals on some of the sale items, like the Calf Hair Martinas, the Claremont Purse, and Kiki Ballet Flats. Are you shopping this sale?
