My Style: Pretty In Pink

A couple of weeks ago the lovely girlies at Next invited me and a few of their favourite bloggers to see The Bodyguard for a girl’s night out and I wore this beauty of a pink lace dress. I was having so much fun, munching at STK London, catching up with my friends and then singing along to Whitney Houston’s greatest hits, boy can Alexandra Burke sing, that I totally forgot to get an outfit post. A crime I know for a fashion blogger!!!

What I love about this beauty of a dress is that it can be dressed up or down and it still looks so pretty, I think it is because the silhouette is so flattering and the lace is delicate and fun. To see The Bodyguard, I dressed it up with a statement necklace, a cute clutch and strappy black heels, but I love that it works just as well teamed with pumps for a day wandering around Cambridge.

I think the reason this dress works for a Sunday walk after brunch is the accessories, a pop of blue just works perfectly with this pretty pale pink hue. I love that it adds a touch of fun, which means that the addition of the denim pumps don’t seem too casual. Plus I love any reason to wear my new blue mini Links of London friendship bracelet that Paulie got me for my birthday, it works perfectly with my Shore Projects watch.

Do you have a summer dress that you love to dress up and down?
