Join J.Jill and Support Women In Seattle Who Need Our Help

We were invited to a J.Jill event last Wednesday to learn more about its in-store brand experience and how we can support women in Seattle. Read on for details.

For Mother’s Day, J.Jill is hosting a contest that could send you and your mom on vacation. However, their support of women doesn’t stop with the holiday. It also has The J.Jill Compassion Fund, which partners with local charities to help women in need.

J.Jill is supporting women in Seattle by partnering with The Jubilee Women’s Center, which helps single low-income and homeless women in crisis gain the skills and resources required to rebuild their lives. This includes housing, classes, training, and referral services, all out of its Capitol Hill location.

Between May 12th and June 1st, bring gently worn clothing to J.Jill at Bellevue Square Mall and receive 25% off one full-priced item for every piece you bring in.

To celebrate its partnership with The Jubilee Women’s Center, J.Jill hosted an in-store event at its Bellevue Square Mall location. There were branded (and friggin’ delicious) cupcakes, drinks, and employees from corporate to walk us through the store.

Travis and I were guided through the store by Chris Gayton, the senior director of brand marketing. And this wasn’t just any walk through, but a full immersion into the brand through the eyes of its customer: the J.Jill woman.

Busy and oftentimes with children, the J.Jill woman is looking for an uncomplicated shopping experience. To fulfill her wish, the J.Jill brand team designed 6 concept stores throughout the U.S. (one being in Bellevue) where they made sure she was consistently presented with style inspiration and able to shop with ease. From the moment she walks in, the J.Jill woman can expect to see brightly lit displays with pieces presented together to form various outfit options.

I can definitely validate that the merchandise displays are arranged to ensure style inspiration at every corner. While I don’t fit within the J.Jill woman demographic, I was impressed with the price and quality of the pieces, particularly the Pure Jill linen line.

In addition to the walk through, I was also given the opportunity to try on some pieces and choose one to take home. These were the items I selected, the two gray pieces being part of the Pure Jill collection.

I was torn between the gray linen kimono and woven knit. The kimono was super chic and great quality, but it made me look really unshapely because of my curves. The knit was so soft and comfortable, and I was leaning more toward this one. That is, until I tried on the white linen cardigan Travis picked out. It was a match made in heaven.

We’re thankful to J.Jill for providing this cardigan and letting us know about how we can support women in Seattle. Please join us in donating gently worn clothes in-stores from May 12th – June 1st. And if you enter the J.Jill contest, good luck!

Disclaimer: J.Jill provided car service and the above cardigan free of charge. However, all opinions are Adria’s own and were not influenced by the gracious gift.
