animal jam paper toy printables – Sarapiea Forest

Animal Jam, in association with National Geographic, and Small for Big are continuing a great new partnership! I’ll be creating printable animal toys for you to download, print, and assemble your own animals and environments: with a different land and its animals featured each month. Today is the fifth land in our series.

Animal Jam , in association with National Geographic, is an online virtual playground for kids. Players create and customize their own animal characters and dens, chat with friends, adopt pets, team up for adventures, ask real scientists questions, and feed their curiosity about animals and the natural world around them. All the educational content is free, though there is a membership option for additional play.

The game includes several different lands to explore. In the last couple of months we looked at Appondale, based in the Savannah, and Kimbara, which looks to the outback, The Lost City of Zios, set in the Asian Jungle, and Coral Canyon, from the Red Rock Deserts. This month, it’s time for some local North American Decidious Forests, in the Sarapiea Forest. Download to create your own rabbit, fox, treehouse, and movie house!

To make the Rabbit:

• Cut out the rabbit.
• Fold the head, sides, and the sections that will become the base and stomach..
• Glue the side tabs between the stomach and legs/arms.

To make the Fox:

• Cut out the fox.
• Fold the head, neck, legs, and tail.
• Glue the tab between from one back leg to the other to help the fox stay standing

To make the treehouse:

• Cut out both pieces.
• Glue the tree to the center of the extra base strip.
• Slide the tabs on the ends of the strip together to help the tree stand.

To Make the movie house:

• Cut out the house.
• Fold the side tabs back.
• Enjoy!
