A Confession

The other week, I popped into Lush to top up on my moisturiser - Celestial, it was £11 for 45g. I'm pretty sure it hasn't always been that expensive. I've been a loyal fan and user of Lush Products for more than 10 years but, finally, they've managed to price me out. Thanks.
So, I took to Twitter for recommendations on other moisturisers. In doing so, I also admitted - I don't exfoliate.
In fact, I don't have much of a skin care regimen to speak of, anymore. I used to but since I haven't been buying Lush Products, I haven't taken the time to investigate what else is out there.
On the feedback of some friends, I had a look into Simple.
It was cheap, kind to your skin and light products. I don't like feeling like there's a lot on my face. I also bought some exfoliating daily wash from Clean & Clear.
I've been using them for about 2 weeks? And initially, my face had a break out - which isn't unusual for me around my certain points of my Cycle (generally, I'm pretty blessed with clear skin). But my face felt so soft. And still does! It's been easy to fit the products into my daily routine, it doesn't feel like a chore.
On certain days, my skin drinks up the moisturiser. The products don't smell, they're light and cool, not full of chemicals and my skin isn't as pink in the morning either.
I feel like a terrible girl, sometimes, for not paying more attention or taking more of an interest in beauty products. But my mum never put make up on me growing up and I was busy mucking around on a skateboard to give too much thought to this stuff!
I'm paying for it now, mind!
