Romantic Transferware for Valentines Day

I haven't had many opportunities the past few months to do much tablescaping and I'm anxious to get back into the swing of it. Over the past year or so I've gathered up some really pretty transferware plates that have romantic themes and I have been waiting to show and list them to my shop until around Valentines Day. I think they will be ideal for a mix and match table. Today I pulled some of them out and began playing around with them. These are some of the pieces I think I'm going to use for a Valentines Day tablescape. (most are for sale so click the pics to be taken to my online shop where you can see pricing and purchase)

The pieces range in colors of red, pink, purple and a pink-ish purple or fucshia so I think I'm going to do a flower arrangement with roses in those shades to tie it all together.
I think these little plates are the sweetest ever. They are vintage Wedgwood. I have some dinner plates in this pattern as well and the cherubs are playing instruments in that scene.

This pattern is called 'The Courtship'…so romantic.

These are a deep purple maroon color, also Wedgwood. Isn't the border exquisite? I love the raised detailing in some of these plates. These would be pretty at Christmas time too, and are great for layering.

Mason's Watteau…music and love…this pattern comes in several colorways with variations of romantic music scenes on each.

This plate is called Chatham by Royal Doulton and is one of my all time favorites. I have a few pieces collected that I use for display. Nita at Mod Vintage Life just featured these on her blog and I agree with her, that they would be so pretty in her house.

This pattern by Meakin is nice anytime but would be especially pretty with some Valentines cookies on it!

My favorite Valentines table I did was a music themed one where I made an arrangement with a violin centered amongst roses and antique hand written French music cards tucked behind the strings.

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.
