8 Common Online Mistakes You Should Avoid

It was a dark and stormy night. Rain beat against the windows of my apartment as Blue the dog barked at the whistling winds.

Reaching for my second glass of wine, I thought to myself “damn, could this be any harder?”

My boyfriend’s birthday was fast approaching and I was looking for a chocolatier that would put Willy Wonka to shame.

The problem was that, based on their websites, none of the chocolatier-esque businesses in my area looked that great.

This got me thinking: what were the easy tweaks these businesses could make to their websites that would totally change my impression of them?

Nobody wants to come off as unprofessional.

Everybody wants people to know that they’re going to deliver the best service and product out there.

But not everybody knows how to do that.

As I reached for my third glass of wine (don’t look at me like that – it was a Friday!), I began scribbling bullet points on my notepad- I was compiling a list of the top mistakes I saw made online.

Finishing my list I realized that the mistakes theses chocolatiers were making online were mistakes I’d seen made by florists, photographers, artists – people in every niche.
