I feel like I’ve been on a seafood bender since I’ve gotten to America. The seafood here is plentiful and cheap so I’m taking advantage of it for as long as I can.

We decided to take a trip to Orange County because I wanted to live

The OC dream for a few hours. On the way to Huntington Beach is a little fish place called SlapFish which was an excellent choice – they serve up lobster rolls, shrimp and sustainable fish in various tasty forms.

The fish is so fresh that it will apparently slap me, and whilst I was not slapped in the face or anywhere else by the seafood, I do agree it was deliciously fresh. The lobster shrimp roll was light and fresh. And although we lost a fair few pieces of the seafood to the ground (there must be a skill in eating these) I would definitely get this again. The spicy Oregon shrimp roll was easier to eat and was spicy enough to give it a kick, which I loved. Also, shout outs to the toasted buttery rolls our seafood friends were piled into. Dear lord, they were good.

Next time I go to the OC to

beat down on some no good kid from Chino, I’ll definitely hit up SlapFish.
