RIP T
What a sad day for the Blues world and fans. Legendary Mississippi Bluesman T Model Ford passed away today. I’ve been watching T Model play for well over 10 years now. He was 93 years young. He was on Fat Possum record label out of Oxford, MS… One of the first labels that started recording these legendary bluesman. T didn’t start touring and playing until the 90′s… He performed, toured, flirted, danced and recorded up until his stroke last summer, 2012. What a machine he was!! Known for his famous saying “It’s Jack Daniels Time”… I guarantee it’s Jack Daniels time in heaven today. Cheers to T, and his very large family that allowed him to tour, teach us the real deal blues and play for us for so many years.. I’m sure going to miss that smile. Grateful I am still part of a generation that got to witness and know some of the last greats.
