Summary:

NYPD Detective Kat Donovan has been out of the dating game for years, really since her father was murdered and her ex-fiance, Jeff, left her. But now her friend has signed her up for an online dating profile, so Kat begins sorting through her potential matches . . . and is shocked to see Jeff’s face as a possibility. But there might be something more sinister at work, as it seems as though Jeff’s profile might be connected to a woman’s disappearance. As Kat sifts through the secrets and lies, she must figure out what is going on once and for all.

Snapshot Review:

Missing You is a suspenseful thriller revolving around one woman—Kat Donovan. Readers will like Kat, even as she’s completely stalled out in her personal life. She’s still stuck in that time all those years ago, when her police officer father was still alive and Jeff was at her side. Despite the fact that both of these events happened a long time ago, it’s these that are central in Kat’s life now. The novel has two main storylines; Kat follows some clues about her father’s murder, unsure if the right man is in jail, and also follows up on Jeff’s picture on the dating website. Coben takes the reader through twists and turns; they’ll race through this novel, eager to see where it ends up. If you’re a fan of thrillers, then Coben is one of the best authors to read; Missing You is just another example of how exciting his novels can be.
