Mixing Old With New For A Stunning New Look

There are so many different ways in which we can make an outfit fabulous, even if it is vintage. Many believe that what is vintage remains vintage. That is not actually the case. Mixing old with new is not that difficult if you are not afraid to experiment. You can maintain your style and use various clothes that have their roots in different decades. Let us think about how that is possible and go through some modern vintage clothes that you will want to mix.

Blouses

Any closet looks better with some vintage blouses and we can so easily make the clothes look even better as updating old blouses is not that tough. For instance, you can pair your blouse with a pair of denim skinny jeans. Add pumps or high heeled boots to get a greater ensemble.

The ruffled, sleek blouses can be paired with a high waist form fitting pencil skirt. In this case the only thing that is missing is the natural heel and we get to cover various possible occasions. A lot of women were this combination as they came into our office at Hillarys. That is why we have to say that it works great as business attire. Alternatively, pair your patterned vintage blouse with a brightly colored pair of jeans (bright blue, red or hot pink).

Dresses

The vintage dresses can easily be fashionable and look great these days. All that you have to do is use modern accessories. As an example, let’s say we have a polka dot halter dress. Pair it with pointy-toe black pumps. The look is quite sophisticated, fresh and young. Alternatively, if your vintage dress is floral and knee length, go for accessories that are cobalt blue or bright pink. The old dress can always be spruced up by using modern blazers. The trick with dresses is to experiment until you find a style that you like.

Vintage Accessories

As already mentioned, modern accessories work great with vintage clothes. The exact opposite also applies. There are many different ways in which you could incorporate your old jewelry into the current outfits that you just now bought. Take a black dress that has an attractive silhouette and add vintage jewelry. It will surely look stunning.

We also have vintage accessories that work great with vintage clothes. That is completely normal. However, in this case we need to be sure that we choose something that is also close to what is modern. You wouldn’t want to look to vintage.

Denim

As we all know, denim made a comeback. If you pair vintage denim properly, you end up with a cool, fresh look. Take a pair of flared, long jeans and use it for your bohemian look. Combining vintage denim jeans with relaxed garments can be quite refreshing. The high waist denims look great with crop tops and we end up with a really modern overall look.

These are just some ideas that you can take into account. Many other opportunities exist. The trick is to experiment. Combine the old with the new and you will surely like what you discover. Experimentation is always the best way to be sure that your wardrobe is great.
