What do you get when you mix the former crafts editor at Country Living magazine with super-cute travel-isnpired craft ideas and a great cause?
A pretty Fly DIY book!
Here’s a bit about the e-book from Jourdan herself.
“Fly DIY is inspired by a life-changing trip I took to Africa just weeks after losing my job as the Chicago editor of DailyCandy, as well as the experience I gained as the former crafts editor at Country Living. The projects are all super easy, completely original, and truly affordable. My favorite one just might be the $1 fly swatter I turned into a luggage tag! In addition to conceptualizing and creating the projects, I designed the book myself with images taken by local photographer, Carolina Mariana. The book features local female business owners as models, and if you download it in the first week, you’ll get access to a travel playlist by Chicago’s top female dj, DJ Lani Love. Also, 10 percent of the book’s proceeds will be donated to the non-profit that I traveled to Africa with, Watering Malawi.”
Right now you can find the book on her site Jourdan Fairchild and if you would like to meet Jourdan in person,
you can keep checking her blog for the date for her launch party at Madewell in downtown Chicago in a few weeks.
