Mint Bottle DIY

Nothing says spring quite like pastels and fresh flowers. I decided to spice up some used bottles in my recycling bin to create a sweet set of mint-colored vases, perfect for a windowsill or outdoor dining table.

Items needed: Glass bottles (if you have clear glass bottles in your recycling they will require less coats of paint). Pastel glass paint and a brush.

Start by soaking your bottles in a warm bath of soapy water so the labels will easily peel off.

Allow your bottles to completely dry and apply the first layer of paint. The first layer will look streaky, but don't worry because the additional layers will cover that up.

Apply the second coat and let dry completely. Fill bottles with water and your favorite flowers.
