I Hauled Me Some Bath and Body Works, But Not From Bath and Body Works

For a moment there, I actually thought McDonald’s sent me Frappe Chocolate! That would be many levels of awesome.

One of my favourite moments of shopping in the US years ago, other than going batshit crazy at the 5 Sephoras I went to, was shopping at Bath and Body Works. The sheer amount of body care products was seriously overwhelming. There’s just so much to choose from that it’s almost imperative to carry a jar of coffee beans with you to sniff between each product range because your senses will take such a hit. Oh, and those US$1 Pocketbac hand sanitisers? I probably brought about 10 back with me just because I could.

Unfortunately, Bath and Body Works is not available in Australia. Heck, you can’t even buy from the website and have the products shipped here unless you go through a parcel forwarding company. I did that once and I ended up paying so much for shipping no thanks to the amount of candles I purchased that it just wasn’t worth it at all.

So, where did this haul come from? Well, I heard on the Twitter vine that there’s an Australian online store that specifically sells Bath and Body Works products with pretty decent shipping fees. I checked it out and decided to place an order for some items too. It’s call Bath, Body and Home. Yeah, not a very original name but eh, what are you going to do?

Mind you, Bath, Body and Home stocks nowhere even near the amount of products Bath and Body Works has. In fact, they probably only sell 10% of the entire Bath and Body Works line. It didn’t really bother me because truth be told, when’s there’s just too much to choose from, I usually end up not buying anyway. Just to do a test run, I picked up 3 shower gels and 5 different types of candles. As you can tell, these were quite heavy yet shipping was only AU$6.95 (in fact, since my order went just slightly over AU$100, shipping was free).

I haven’t tried any of the shower gels yet but the candles are oh so good! I’m currently burning the Island Margarita as I’m writing this and my home office smells like delicious lime and margarita. The 3-wick Eucalyptus Mint burns very evenly and smells heavenly. While the mini candles smell good too, they don’t burn evenly and often has a hollow in them, which is a bummer.

Shipping took 3 days from when I placed my order. I’ve seen Bath and Body Works products sold on eBay but after factoring in shipping fees, they’re often more expensive than buying from Bath, Body and Home. I’ll definitely purchase more in future, especially more candles! Bear in mind though, the items sell out pretty quickly and I’m guessing it will take them some time to order more from Bath and Body Works so if you like a particularly “hot” item, snap it up quickly. You may also notice that some of the products are actually slightly cheaper than sold on the official Bath and Body Works website. The official website does a lot of good deals like “buy 3 get 2 free” and the item works out to be cheaper per bottle, which is something Bath, Body and Home doesn’t do.

By the way, this isn’t a sponsored post for Bath, Body and Home nor did they send me any products to try (I don’t think they even know I exist!). It’s just something I stumbled across lately and wanted to share with you in case you’re interested in trying out Bath and Body Works but can’t buy them in Australia. I’m glad I found it because I know I’ll be getting more candles from them once I’m done with this stash.

If you do end up shopping on Bath, Body and Home (woohoo enabler me did my job again!), have fun! Let me know what you bought!

Are you a fan of Bath and Body Works? What are your favourite products?
