[Sponsored Video] What are your two sides?

I came across this amazing video from Nivea promoting its Powder Touch antiperspirant and it raised a fantastic point regarding fitness.

The antiperspirant has two sides. The soft side that makes it easy and comfortable to use and the tough side that makes it work in all kinds of sweaty situations. The ballerina in the video has a feminine, graceful side but we forget that ballet is a tough workout. Of course, all good ballet dancers make it look effortless but it’s really not easy to be that graceful or in control of your balance (and that’s without mentioning things like flexibility, leg strength and core strength).

When I workout I definitely have two sides but it’s a bit different to our ballerina. On one side I’m tough, strong and confident. Weight lifting and roller derby give me a fierceness but that’s just one side of me. There’s also the lazy, food lover in me. A lot of the time, I’m only motivated to work out so I can lose weight. Self-image is such a big part of my fitness obsession. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. So on one hand I’m a superhero who can do anything and on the other, I’m hugely self-conscious.

This is a great video (see more here) that certainly makes you think. Do you need a deodorant that works well with your two sides? Probably not but something that’s simple and easy to use while being tough is always going to be a good thing. There’s nothing more annoying than putting on a deodorant and having to wait for it to dry before you can get dressed/get on with your life. The wonderful thing about the Powder Touch antiperspirant is that it’s dry in an instant.

This post was sponsored by Nivea Powder Touch but, as always, my opinions (and ramblings) are my own.
