Easy Crepes VIDEO

There’s a misconception about crepes that I’m hoping to correct here. Are you ready? In spite of what you may think or been told, crepes are incredibly simple to make, especially after you watch this Easy Crepes video. Ok, I said it and if you’ve never tried your hand at crepes before, my oh my are you in for a treat.

Unlike most pancake and waffle batters, which get too thick when they sit overnight in the fridge, crepe batter only gets better and better the longer it sits, since it doesn’t include baking soda or powder it stays a thin silky consistency, perfect for making thin pancakes.

Ask Kenya what his favorite breakfast food is and the word “crepes” will come out of his mouth before you even finish your question. His adoration of them has only grown since the time of his very first crepe, so I make them a lot.

At breakfast my kids will normally start off requesting savory crepes filled with cheese and finish their meal with sweet crepes stuffed with strawberries, bananas, almond butter or on extra special lucky days, Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. The best part is that the batter can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours, so you can make it the night before breakfast or serve them at the end of the day as a dessert treat.

This Easy Crepes video shows you not only how to prepare the batter in a blender (just whiz all the ingredients together), but also how to cook them in just over a minute each.

Let me know in the comments below what you like to put inside. I’d love to know what your family’s favorite fillings are!
